Compliance
Conflict Minerals
Fabricated Extrusion Company is familiar with Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Act and the rules adopted by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission related to Conflict Minerals (collectively, “Conflict Minerals Provisions”). Conflict minerals currently consist of Tin, Tantalum, Tungsten and Gold. Terms used in this statement have the same meanings as in the Conflict Minerals Provisions. To the best of our knowledge, all compounds and raw materials used to manufacture your parts do not contain Conflict Minerals. However, it is possible for trace amounts of residual Conflict Minerals remaining from prior catalysis or other manufacturing processes, or from natural sources, to occur in some of our products. We believe that no Conflict Mineral is necessary to the functionality of, or intentionally added to, our raw materials or compounds. We continue to work with our suppliers to ensure no conflict minerals are present in any of the items we purchase.
RoHS & WEEE
We have completed an evaluation of compounds and raw materials used to manufacture your parts. Based upon the information supplied to us by our raw material suppliers, we have found that the compounds used do not contain any of the listed restricted substances, including lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB), polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE). Additionally, we confirm that our products are free of phthalates – DEHP, DBP, BBP, and DIBP – substances banned by RoHS effective July 22, 2019.
REACH
The plastic extrusion supplied by Fabricated Extrusion Company is considered an article per the REACH definition. We see no reason that any substance within the compounds used to manufacture your parts could release out of the finished part. Based on this we are exempt from registering. We have been and continue to be in contact with our suppliers of raw materials, many of whom are registering their substances. Additionally, we do not test or analyze for SVHCs (Substances of Very High Concern) as listed in Article 57 of REACH. We have discussed this list with our suppliers and to the best our knowledge none of the listed substances are found in any of the raw materials utilized to produce our products. And since none of these substances are intentionally added they are not expected to be present at levels above 0.1% by weight per separable part of the product.
